§ Mr. McKelveyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether any particular instructions are issued by his Department to supplementary benefit offices in respect of single mothers (a) who have been on supplementary benefit for more than four months, (b) who have children of school age but who do not work, (c) who refuse to take proceedings for maintenance, (d) in respect of the father of whose children the Department has no information and (e) who have rent, gas or electricity debts.
