§ 32. Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what arrangements exist between his Department and bodies concerned with the promotion of the arts in Wales for co-ordinating Government policy in relation to the arts in Wales.
§ Mr. ChannonThe body concerned with the promotion of the arts in Wales is the Welsh Arts Council, which is a constituent committee of the Arts Council of 45W Great Britain, funded by the Office of Arts and Libraries. The Welsh Arts Council receives grants also from the British Film Institute and the Crafts Council, also funded by the Office of Arts and Libraries. Welsh members and assessors provide the link between all these bodies and the arts in Wales.
