§ Mr. ChannonThe national and local museums have grown up in different ways, and I have neither the powers nor the wish to propose radical changes. I am, however, considering ways of developing the role of the Standing Commission on Museums and Galleries so that it may help to make the best use of available resources for museums. I hope to make an announcement later in the year.
