HC Deb 17 June 1981 vol 6 cc374-5W
Mr. Grimond

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether, in view of the reply given to the hon. Member for Edinburgh, South (Mr. Ancram) on 13 April, Official Report, c. 35–36, and the continual deferment of a decision on the use of the site at the west end of Chambers Street, Edinburgh, he has now any plans for future premises for the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland.

Mr. Younger

I am at present awaiting the final report of the Committee on the National Museums and Galleries in Scotland, which has been considering these matters; and it would be premature for me to make a further statement at this time.
