The Department is also supporting a five-year programme of research by the general practice research unit at the Institute of Psychiatry. This unit undertakes a wide range of projects related to psychiatric illness in the primary care setting. In addition, the Camberwell psychiatric case register, and associated studies, at the Institute of Psychiatry are supported jointly by this Department and the Medical Research Council.
