§ Mr. Douglas Hoggasked the Secretary of State for Defence how many pilots are required to operate the Royal Air Force's present fleet of multi-engined aircraft; and how many pilots are in fact now available for that task.
542W

The number of pilots currently available to meet multi-engined tasks is about 10 per cent. below requirements; this excludes multi-engined trained pilots in ground and training appointments who would fill squadron posts in an emergency.
