§ Mr. David MitchellThe tender price including the design costs for the Foyle bridge was £15.7 million. Price increases in respect of work carried out to the end of June 1981 amount to £340,000—that is, just over 2 per cent. of the contract price. The estimated final cost of the bridge—that is, tender price and cost variations, assuming these occur at the same rate as to date—is expected to be in the region of £20.2 million.
