§ Dr. Vaughan[pursuant to his reply, 3 February 1981]: The proposals are for the data required in support of an application for a clinical trial certificate to be related more closely to the extent and purposes of the particular trial. Organisations representative of the pharmaceutical industry, the professions and consumer interests have been invited to comment before decisions are taken by the licensing authority. Copies of the Department's consultation letter dated 21 January, reference MLX 130, have already been placed in the Library. A full list of organisations consulted is annexed to that letter.
