§ Mr. Wyn RobertsThe most recent Welsh housing and dwelling survey—that for 1978–79—indicated that there were an estimated 1,041,000 dwellings in Wales in April 1979, against which there were an estimated 971,400 resident households. However, in assessing the housing needs of Wales many factors must be taken into account, notably the number of dwellings which are unfit or lack essential amenities, or both.
