HC Deb 03 December 1981 vol 14 c217W
Mr. Rooker

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he has made any estimate of the extra costs on existing employers' sick pay schemes of the abolition from January 1980 of earnings-related supplements to national insurance sickness and injury benefit.

Mr. Rossi

No. Information is not available on how individual occupational sick pay schemes will be adjusted following the abolition of earnings related supplement. Employers, however, will be able to recoup to themselves such part of their payments to employees which is covered by statutory sick pay.
