§ Mr. PattieThe dockyard study report includes proposals for changes in the dockyard pay structure, but it is too early to say what the precise effects might be. More immediately, we have proposed the introduction of a new dockyard efficiency scheme. Negotiations on its introduction are taking place in the Shipbuilding Trades Joint Council. These proposals will not affect the numerous other Ministry of Defence establishments in the Gosport area, almost all of which have their own productivity scheme arrangements.
