§ Sir George YoungJuveniles in residental care may be placed into security at various times and for varying periods. Information is not collected centrally about the numbers of such episodes in community homes, including observation and assessment centres. As regards youth treatment centres, in 1978, there were 20 and, in 1979, 26 admissions to security.
