§ Mr. Sproatasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if Hampden Park Limited, to which Her Majesty's Government have made a provisional offer of financial aid, is entitled to invite tenders and place contracts for the redevelopment of Hampden Park in part or whole without his authorisation.
§ Mr. Alexander FletcherThe provisional offer of grant made to Hampden Park Ltd. contained no condition in respect of tenders for the work relating to the redevelopment and improvement of Hampden Park. I am not yet able to say whether any conditions in respect of tenders would be included if a formal offer of grant is made to the company.
