§ Mr. Mark CarlisleI have received representations from the principal of the564W University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology and from various Members of this House, including the right hon. Member for Wythenshawe. In all cases the replies have been as in the letter sent to the right hon. Member for Wythenshawe on 1 May by my hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State for Education and Science. The University Grants Committee is at present holding a series of consultations with all universities on various academic and financial matters, including the Government's policy on fees for overseas students, and I hope to receive the views of the Committee later this year.
