Whether they will confirm that since 26th September 1979, no adult has been x-rayed in Dacca to assist in age estimation; whether they will give the number of children x-rayed from 26th September 1979 to the latest convenient date, with an analysis to show how many were given x-rays of the wrist, elbow, shoulder and ankle respectively; whether any other part of the body was x-rayed on any child, and if so, whether they will give details.
§ The SECRETARY of STATE for FOREIGN and COMMONWEALTH AFFAIRS (Lord Carrington)I confirm that no adult has been x-rayed at the request of the High Commission in Dacca to assist in age estimation since 26th September 1979. Some children have been so examined but only on the wrist, elbow, shoulder or ankle. Further details could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
