§ Mr. Dobsonasked the Minister of Transport what studies he has made of the establishment of an authority capable of a strategic management planning and development of the transport network in London.
§ Mr. FowlerSection 1 of the Transport (London) Act 1969 already imposes a general duty on the Greater London Council to develop policies, and to encourage, organise and, where appropriate, carry out measures, which will promote the provision of integrated, efficient and econmic transport facilities and services for Greater London.
