How many police officers and clerks were employed in the Metropolitan Police serious crime squad on the investigation of illegal immigration on 1st June 1980, and on the same date in each of the previous five years.

The information is not available in the form requested, but the squad Which has among its duties the investigation of illegal immigration comprises 24 officers, assisted by two clerks. The size of the Squad has remained broadly the same in recent years.
