asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will give figures of—

  1. (i) the weekly gross income and the disposable net income after payment of income tax and social insurance contributions in the years 1979–80 and 1980–81 for the taxpayer and the three types of case specified in my Question answered on 28th April 1980 (col. 1119); and
  2. (ii) the indirect tax content of weekly expenditure (including both central and local government taxes) expressed as a percentage of expenditure at weekly expenditures equal to the disposable net incomes given in answer to (i) above.
