§ Mr. FowlerYes. In the White Paper "Policy for Roads: England 1980" I292W emphasised the high priority of the M1-A1 link which will significantly improve the road communications to Corby.
Within the limits of what we can afford I shall also help the county councils to improve their roads in the area.
It is for the British Railways Board and local authorities to consider whether particular passenger services or stations should be reopened.
