§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeThere is no disagreement between the Department and Merseyside passenger transport executive over the allocation of costs. The Mersey Docks and Harbour Company was responsible for reconstructing the landing stage, and it received financial assistance from central Government by means of a grant under section 56 of the Transport Act 1968.
