§ 31. Mr. John Pattenasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will meet the secretary general of the Trades Union Congress to discuss alterations in 160W arrangements for the training of apprentices.
§ Mr. Jim LesterI have no immediate plans to discuss this matter with the general secretary of the TUC. The Manpower Services Commission is currently completing a review of our industrial training arrangements generally. Employees' representatives nominated by the TUC are members of the commission and of the body which has been carrying out the review. I expect to receive the report of this review very soon, and I should be happy to discuss it with the TUC.
