§ Mr. HurdHer Majesty's Government have had no agreement with Zambia to supply Rapier anti-aircraft missile systems. Zambia bought a Rapier missile system from British Aerospace as a commercial transaction in 1970 for which an export licence was granted.
The equipment to be supplied and paid for in the current financial year forms the final part of the package of military assistance that Her Majesty's Government undertook to provide to Zambia in 1978. It would not be in accordance with normal practice to provide a breakdown of the £1.2 million involved.
