§ Mr. LuceHer Majesty's Government have noted the resolution about Diego Garcia adopted at the Organisation for African Unity's meeting on 4 July. No representations have been received from the organisation.
§ Mr. Dalyellasked the Lord Privy Seal if he will make a statement on his discussions with Mauritius over the claim by Mauritius to Diego Garcia.
§ Mr. LuceMy right hon. Friend has had no such discussions. The Prime Minister of Mauritius called on my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister on 7 July. There was a general discussion which included political economic and cultural matters. Diego Garcia was one of the subjects covered.
