HC Deb 21 February 1980 vol 979 cc304-5W
Mr. David Hunt

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) what steps he proposes to take in connection with the high level of the charges being made by the North-West water authority for providing a service to the sprinkler system;

(2) if he has yet reached a conclusion in his discussions with the National Water Council, the Water Companies Association and the North-West Water Authority over the substantial charges being made to users of fire-fighting sprinkler systems in the North-West.

Mr. Fox

I am discussing this problem with the North-West water authority. I am hopeful that the matter can be resolved soon. When a final decision is reached I shall make a further statement.
