Mr. Wilkinson

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what the extent is of the United Kingdom's present indebtedness to the International Monetary Fund; and whether he will tabulate the dates scheduled for the repayment of the constituent tranches of the United Kingdom's debt to the International Monetary Fund.

Mr. Lawson

Her Majesty's Government finally repaid all their drawings under the credit tranches in August of this year, but have drawings of SDR 562.5 million outstanding under the oil facility; this is scheduled to be repaid in nine quarterly instalments of SDR 62.5 million until January 1983. The timetable of repayments is as follows1981/82: 22 January, 22 April, 22 July, 22 October. 1983: 22 January.
