§ Mr Nicholas EdwardsThe whole of the United Kingdom fishing industry is facing a number of difficulties. In recognition of this the Government have this year made available some £17 million in additional aid which has also been of benefit to fishermen in Wales. The Government also remain committed to achieving an early and satisfactory settlement of the common fisheries policy.
