Whether they will place in the Library a copy of the speech made by Leonid Brezhnev in Berlin on 6th October 1979 and their response to his remarks concerning international relations.
§ Lord CARRINGTONThe text of the speech has been placed in the Library. We have welcomed some positive elements in the speech. But nothing President Brezhnev said gives reason to divert the Alliance from the modernisation of its theatre nuclear forces and a parallel arms control approach.
