HC Deb 19 November 1979 vol 974 c31W
Mr. Marlow

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the situation with regard to heating cabinets for peritoneal fluids used by patients not on kidney machines in the renal units of Oxford hospitals.

Sir George Young

Oxfordshire area health authority informs me that special heating cabinets are not normally required for heating peritoneal fluids used for continuous ambulent peritoneal dialysis. However, in the case of patients who have no domestic source of heating suitable for this purpose, the authority is proposing to supply heating cabinets. The cabinets are on order and will be provided as soon as possible.
