HC Deb 19 November 1979 vol 974 c52W
Mr. Wigley

asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many soldiers from Wales have been killed or seriously wounded on active service in Northern Ireland since 1969.

Mr. Hayhoe

Such detailed information is not held centrally, and I regret it would require disproportionate effort to provide the information in the form requested.

Mr. Wm. Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he approved the first sentence of paragraph 12 of the paper entitled "Northern Ireland Future Terrorist Trends".

Mr. Hayhoe

I am not prepared to comment on this classified document, which was intended to provide background information for internal MOD use.
