HC Deb 25 May 1979 vol 967 c276W
Mr. Alton

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will reconsider the Liverpool city council's proposals to rationalise and reorganise secondary education in that city, following the decision of his predecessor to reject these proposals.

Dr. Boyson

No. My right hon. and learned Friend can take no initiative on these particular proposals which were considered by his predecessor in March. It is, however, open to the authority to submit fresh proposals under section 13 of the Education Act 1944 for his consideration.
