§ Mr. Brothertonasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what public funds are being paid to the Trades Union Congress in the current year for education and training purposes; and what are his plans for the future of this grant.
§ Dr. BoysonA grant of 1.455 million has been made available to the TUC for the current financial year, payable jointly by the Department of Education and Science and the Department of Employment, towards expenditure incurred by the TUC and affiliated unions on trade union education and training.
The future level of grant will be reviewed in the light of decisions on public expenditure.
