asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many meetings of the youth service forum take place annually; and what is the number of representatives attending and the issues discussed in the past two years.

Two or three meeting have been held each year since it was set up in 1976, each attended by some 50 members and assessors. The main subjects discussed have included youth and race in the inner cities, the youth opportunities programme, the future role of the youth service and resources for the youth service.
