asked the Secretary of State for Energy if all heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment ordered by his Department conforms to the relevant British standards for safety and performance to satisfy current legislation and the need for energy conservation.

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment is responsible for all heating, ven-

present prices of the various fuels. Prices vary between geographical locations, quantities purchased and between different merchants.

However, the following is offered as a guide to the differences occurring in Bedford in prices of fuels to domestic consumers:
