asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if fish from the West Coast of Scotland are tested for radioactivity; and if he will publish the results.

Reports on the radioactive monitoring work carried out by my Department's fisheries radiological laboratory are published annually under the title "Radioactivity In Surface And Coastal Waters Of The British Isles." Copies are available in the Library of the House. The most recent report, which deals with monitoring carried out in 1976, gives data on fish from the Minch, the North Sea and the Irish Sea. Similar information will be available in the report for 1977, which is due to be published in September.
