HC Deb 25 July 1979 vol 971 c299W
Sir Derek Walker-Smith

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if, in view of the recent flooding at Cheshunt Wash, Hertfordshire, and the apprehensions existing in the locality as to a recurrence, he will facilitate the completion of the design for preventive works and implementation thereof at Turnford Brook and Ragsbrook by making available the necessary funds for this purpose.

Mr. Wiggin

This is a matter for the Thames water authority. I understand that the authority is already designing an improvement scheme and that it has sufficient funds to start work in the current financial year.
