§ Mr. John Browneasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will take steps to introduce a system of social security cards, similar to that now in use in the United States of America, but not subject to fraud, that would be used as personal identification for all social security purposes.
§ Mr PrenticeI have no such proposals, but the adequacy of the Department's measures to prevent fraud is under review and any idea for additional defence against social security fraud is being considered on its merits.
