asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what consideration he has given to the emergency resolution which was carried at the annual conference of the Fire Brigades Union sent to him by the right hon. Member for Manchester, Wythenshawe calling for a public inquiry into the circumstances and implications of the fire at Woolworth's store in Piccadilly, Manchester; what action he has so far taken; and if he will make a statement.
