HC Deb 21 December 1979 vol 976 cc535-6W
Mr. Kaufman

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what salary is to be paid to Sir Robert Cooke as his adviser on the Palace of Westminster; how many days a week he will work in return for that salary; what staff and accommodation will be available to him; and what is the cost to public funds of that staff and accommodation.

Mr. Heseltine

Sir Robert Cooke is employed on the basis of a minimum of one day per week, for which he will receive a salary of £3,000 per annum. He will not have allocated to him any staff; he will be sharing a room already in use and accordingly any extra staff or accommodation costs will be minimal.
