HL Deb 04 December 1979 vol 403 c681WA
Lord BOYD-CARPENTER

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What is the cost to public funds in the current year of the Commission for Racial Equality; and what reduction it is intended to make next year in this figure in accordance with the Government's plans for the reduction of public expenditure.

Lord BELSTEAD

After reductions in the approved budget of the Commission for Racial Equality for 1979–80 the cost of the Commission to public funds in the present financial year, at out-turn prices, is expected to be a little more than £6 million. Details of next year's expenditure are still under consideration.
