HC Deb 04 April 1979 vol 965 c738W
Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland, if he will make a detailed statement as to the membership of the future council for tertiary education in Scotland; and if he will give the estimated date for establishing the council.

Mr. Millan

I am glad to say that Sir Norman Graham, CB, FRSE, has accepted my invitation to serve as chairman of the council. I am not yet in a position to announce the membership of the council, but letters of invitation are now being issued.
