HC Deb 24 October 1978 vol 955 c923W
Mr. Grieve

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what proposals he has for mitigating the hardship being caused to hospital patients throughout the United Kingdom by the strike of laundry supervisors.

Mr. Ennals

Health authorities affected by the dispute are making all possible arrangements to mitigate hardship to patients. I very much hope that the further efforts at conciliation by ACAS will be successful. If not, I shall urgently consider what further action should be taken.
