§ Mr. Leeasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will call for a report from the Commissioner of 762W Police of the Metropolis on the public disturbance in central London on Remembrance Sunday caused by a National Front demonstration.
§ Mr. Merlyn ReesThe Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis tells me that on the afternoon of Remembrance Sunday, 12th November, 3,208 police officers were deployed to keep the peace on the occasion of a demonstration against a National Front march from Bressenden Place to the Cenotaph. In minor disturbances, 28 people were arrested and four police officers injured.
