§ Mr. Laurie Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will revise circular HC76/26 to give greater 267W encouragement for the extension of preventive medicine by the use of qualified State registered nurses in a vaccination campaign to prevent rubella.
§ Mr. MoyleParagraph 2 of the circular already encourages area health authorities to involve nursing staff in vaccination programmes and, as part of the preparations for the proposed rubella vaccination compaign, we will certainly consider how this can be emphasised.
