Mr. Ioan Evans

asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection if he will make a statement about financial aid for consumer advice centres in this financial year.

My Department is making up to £3.79 million available for the year up to 31st March 1979 to give 100 per cent. grant aid to the eligible running costs of 121 consumer advice centres in Great Britain. The centres allocated grants are as follows:
