asked the Secretary of State for Defence what guidance has been given to the respective Defence Departments on the implementation of the 1975 United States /United Kingdom Memorandum of Understanding on Reciprocal Defence Procurement.

In May 1977 the United States Defence Secretary issued an instruction giving guidance on the implementation within the United States Department of Defence of the 1975 United States-United Kingdom Memorandum of Understanding. As required by the reciprocal nature of the MOU, the Ministry of Defence has also recently issued a corresponding instruction for internal guidance.
