§ Dr. GilbertThe average tour of duty in Belize is about six months for the Army and about three months for the RAF.
There was some misunderstanding on the part of those serving in Belize about the effect on their pay and allowances of a recent adjustment of the rate of exchange at which these are paid. This misunderstanding has now been resolved. Conditions of service in Belize have been improved in recent months and the situation is continually under review. All complaints are investigated thoroughly. I have received no recent representations on this matter.
