§ Mrs. Dunwoodyasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how much of the money to be given by Great Britain to the Kingdom of Lesotho is related to the provision of an international airport to enable Lesotho to free herself from dependence on her South African neighbour for the transmission of goods.
§ Mrs. HartI have been asked to reply. The British Government are not providing funds towards the cost of an international airport in Lesotho, but I understand the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development is considering an allocation of $20 million for this purpose. We are engaged in road projects which will assist Lesotho in this regard.
