§ Mr. Harold WalkerIt is obvious that some people do not understand that in general there is no statutory obligation to observe bank holidays designated under the provisions of the Banking and Financial Dealing Act 1971 and that employers and employees are not precluded from making their own arrangements. I have tried to make this clear in a series of statements about bank holidays in the last two years.
