§ Dr. SummerskillAll persons arriving in or leaving Great Britain by ship or aircraft are liable to examination under article 5 of the Prevention of Terrorism (Supplemental Temporary Provisions) Order 1976. No records are kept of the numbers of persons examined.
The police tell me that the total number of persons who had been detained at ports in Great Britain under article 9 and article 10 of the Prevention of Terrorism (Supplemental Temporary Provisions) Order 1974 and 1976 respectively was 2,384 up to 20th July 1978.
