§ Mr. OrmeSeveral officers were involved full-time or part-time in dealing with claims to benefit during the dispute and it is estimated that about 32 days' work was done overall. The officers concerned were already employed so there was no additional public expenditure for extra staff but the staff cost of dealing with the claims was about £700 in salary and other charges.
